Welcome to my website!
I’ve been an avid sewer for decades — as a clothing-maker for myself and loved ones, costume coordinator/designer for many theatrical productions, and semi-traditional quilter.
At an art show 25 years ago, I saw my first-ever hand-dyed and printed fabric. I felt a zap of recognition — I had to try printing my own fabric! Unique mark-making had immediate resonance for me. Since that moment, I’ve spent hundreds of hours absorbed in transforming fiber.
I experiment with silk-screening, dyeing, direct painting, batiking, stitching, folding, clamping, and layering. I turn my hand-printed fabrics into one-of-a-kind gestural abstract artworks.
